final color palette

Phew, this was a busy week! I finally got back into the sewing room today. I decided to cut back on the color palette some more. I’m worried that if I use too many colors the quilt will be too…muddled. Most of this afternoon was dedicated to cutting out strips. It takes me FOREVER to cut out accurate strips. My first two quilts were very improvisational so I bypassed the ‘cutting 2000 strips of size X for a pattern’ stage. I’m paying for it now.

Kona Bonsai, Silver, Shadow, Fog, Sunny, Wasabi, Oasis and Storm

These are, in fact, two different shades of grey. It's hard to tell them apart in person and much more so with crummy lighting + camera work.

  1. Delicious! yes, it is hard to make out the difference at first glance but I am sure these two slightly varied greys will play their part nicely. Have fun!
