A whole-day class and I got one good photo?

Maureen and I took a class from Luke Haynes (yes, him again) on Saturday at Sew Modern. We had a blast and learned a lot. For me the class was way out of my comfort zone because I’m used to working with a very homogeneous selection of fabric. Using used clothes with some crazy stretch to them was tricky. Forgetting a chunk of my sewing machine and the correct foot didn’t exactly help either. This was the first class I’ve taken at Sew Modern and I came away impressed. Sew Modern is a great fabric shop with an excellent crew. If you’re in the LA area I recommend you stop by.

Today was my birthday so I went to my mom’s house for lunch and to fix her PC and lug stuff to the trash and help with paperwork. You know, a typical birthday.
