I did some more work on my Luke Haynes class homework and used the opportunity to practice more with the Featherweight (I haven’t gotten the 7700 back yet). Working with salvaged clothes is a PAIN. The black striped fabric was especially frustrating to work with, it came from a pair of work pants and is way too slick. I can’t get the seam allowance to iron open and the ruler slides off the fabric when I’m cutting it. I have more respect for Luke after this project, getting these fabric to do what I want is difficult. I can’t wait until I work with some quilting fabrics again.
